The statewide pro-life group in Indiana has endorsed pro-life Senate candidate Mike Braun over pro-abortion Senator Joe Donnelly.
In a statement today to LifeNews, Indiana Right to Life Political Action Committee (PAC) Chairman, Mike Fichter, urged pro-life voters to support candidates committed to protecting life.
“We have one chance to protect life with our vote. Let’s make this election count for the unborn,” he said.
About the Braun endorsement, Fichter added: “We need federal representatives who will work with pro-life President Trump to end taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood and protect the unborn and their mothers.”
National Right to Life previously endorsed pro-life businessman Mike Braun in Indiana’s U.S. Senate election as well. Braun is challenging Sen. Joe Donnelly, who is seeking his second six-year term.
“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Mike Braun for the U.S. Senate. Mike Braun’s position on life reflects the true values of Indiana’s voters,” said Carol Tobias, National Right to Life president. “Many Indiana voters will be surprised to learn that while Joe Donnelly claims to be pro-life, he has voted pro-life less than one-third of the time over his six-year term.”
Sen. Joe Donnelly (D) consistently votes to give hundreds of millions of dollars of government funds to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider, which performs 900 abortions every day in the United States.
Mike Braun is pro-life and supports legal protection of unborn children. Mike Braun opposes abortion on demand, and he opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion. Braun opposes giving government funds to abortion providers and he will vote to take hundreds of millions of government funds away from abortion providers and divert them to actual health care providers, which will offer comprehensive health care to more women, closer to home.

“Indiana voters who are concerned with the right to life and with the protection of the most vulnerable among us should vote for Mike Braun in November,” added Tobias. “Indiana’s unborn children deserve a senator like Mike Braun, who will vote to protect their lives, rather than Joe Donnelly, who votes to protect the financial interests of the abortion industry.”
Indiana Right to Life also backed pro-life candidates for state offices and the state legislature.
“We need to keep a strong pro-life majority in the Statehouse so we can continue passing ground-breaking laws. Make plans to vote early or get to your polling place on Tuesday. Act now to encourage friends to vote pro-life too,” Fichter said.
The Indiana Right to Life PAC endorsed Mike Braun for U.S. Senate. For U.S. House of Representatives it endorsed Jackie Walorski (IN-2), Jim Banks (IN-3), Jim Baird (IN-4), Susan Brooks (IN-5), Greg Pence (IN-6), Larry Bucshon (IN-8) and Trey Hollingsworth (IN-9). For statewide offices, Secretary of State Connie Lawson, State Auditor Tera Klutz and State Treasurer Kelly Mitchell, all received endorsements.
