As the media has largely swallowed whole Christine Blasey Ford’s story about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh attempting to rape her while the two were in high school, President Trump’s son Don Jr. expressed concern over his sons growing up being falsely accused of sexual misconduct by the militant #MeToo movement.The hosts of ABC’s The View didn’t hide their disdain and scorn for Trump’s comments on Tuesday’s show, while scoffing at the idea that women sometimes lie about being raped as an absolutely absurd idea.
After playing the clip of Don Jr. calling it “scary” the current culture we live in, adding that Blasey Ford’s accusations were clearly politically motivated, the panel reacted in shocked silence. Finally co-host Whoopi Goldberg scoffed, “What?!”
Fellow co-host Joy Behar added that “everybody” said Dr. Ford was believable, “except him.”
Whoopi remarked that he was thinking of this in the wrong way, that he should “only be concerned” about his sons being falsely accused if he thought his child was a sexual predator (what?!):
“You only worry about this for your child if you think your child has these tendencies! If your child is not someone whose assaulting people, it shouldn’t be a concern for him,” she lectured. Co-host Abby Huntsman was the only one to take Trump’s comments at face value:
Not necessarily though, isn’t that the point in a not tactful way he was trying to make, and I think a lot of people are concerned about today is you could be accused when you have been raised the right way, when you did nothing in that situation. We have countless of examples where that has happened.
The table demanded proof from Huntsman, something they nearly never bring to their own salacious claims.

“Really. Like who?” Behar quipped.
“Well, like the Duke Lacrosse players for example,” Huntsman responded.
“Oh. Well, that’s one,” Behar dismissed her example.
Huntsman then briefly relayed a story of a friend she knew in high school who made false allegations about a boy. “Evidence matters. We should hear women but not jump and believe before we know what happened,” she added.
But Huntsman’s fellow hosts pushed back on her comment.
“The problem with that Abby is that there is not always forensic evidence in these cases,” Behar argued.
Co-host Sunny Hostin put her prosecutor hat on and ranted about how Don Jr. was “working from the wrong premise” because women don’t ever make false accusations of rape.
“Rape is the least reported crime in the country, and on top of that, less than 2% — it’s about 2% of those allegations are false. So when you look at it statistically, it’s very rare for a false accusation to have been made,” Hostin asserted, adding, that “black boys” were the exception to that “rule.”
Behar slammed Don Jr. for “making himself and his gender a victim:”
It’s fascinating that in the middle of this #MeToo moment that we’re in, and you are giving statistics about how many women are sexually assaulted or worse, Donnie Jr. finds a way to find himself and his gender as the victim. This takes real creativity
The discussion ended with Huntsman re-asserting that false accusations do occur. But her co-hosts dismissed her statement yet again.
“It’s very, very rare,” Hostin contradicted her.
It’s hard to take any of this outrage seriously when these same hosts dismissed rape accusations when they were against liberals.
