Last night, President Donald Trump promised to continue pressing pro-life and religious freedom issues. His comments came during remarks to Christian leaders who he thanked for their “incredible” support.
The president said it was an honor to share a dinner with evangelical leaders “who believe in the dignity of life, the glory of God and the power of prayer.”
During the meal Trump promoted to continue fighting for religious freedom and pro-life values and he defended defunding the International Planned Parenthood abortion business, which has cost the biggest abortion company in the world $100 million.
“Together we will uplift our nation in prayer, defend the sanctity of life and forever proudly remain one nation under God,” he said.
“As you know, in recent years the government tried to undermine religious freedom, but the attacks on communities of faith are over,” he told the audience. “We’ve ended it – we’ve ended it. Unlike some before us we are protecting religious liberty.”
“We have stopped the Johnson Amendment from interfering with your First Amendment rights,” Trump said.
