Planned Parenthood is fighting for its life as it fights to continue destroying others’.
In July, the abortion giant is planning its biggest training event ever called “The Power of Pink,” which it hopes will attract 3,000 abortion activists, CNN reports. It will take place in Detroit, Michigan.
Kelley Robinson, the national organizing director for Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said they chose Detroit because it is a “beacon for progressivism.”
Though the abortion “non-profit” has billions of dollars and political support, it has not been able to match the powerful grassroots support of the pro-life movement. But it is desperately trying to change that through the new training event.
“We’re seeing more and more state politicians emboldened to advance extreme policies, regardless of how many people it hurts,” said Dawn Laguens, vice president of Planned Parenthood, last week. “We’re also seeing a groundswell of organizing and action that only continues to grow. People will not stand for it. Now is the time for us to unite and fight for every person’s right to access the care they need.”
According to the report:
The organization has already been working to develop its grassroots efforts in various states, using programs like the Raiz initiative, described on the Planned Parenthood website as a “national effort to work with the Latino community on fights for reproductive health, sex education, and access to care.”
Melissa Garcia, a manager of the Raiz program, said the training will be tailored for the individuals who attend and that it’s a culmination of many years of organizing.
It has been spending big to buy support. Planned Parenthood has spent tens of millions of dollars on elections in the past 10 years, pushing candidates who support abortions for any reason up to birth and taxpayer-funded abortions. Two years ago, Planned Parenthood spent more than $38 million to back Hillary Clinton and other pro-abortion candidates in 2016. It announced a similar $30 million spending campaign for the 2018 midterm elections.
Despite the huge spending in 2016, Planned Parenthood lost most of the races it supported; and its abortion business is suffering.
Here’s more from the Daily Caller:
The training comes after Planned Parenthood sued the Trump administration Wednesday following President Donald Trump’s unveiling of a new plan to roll back Title X’s Family Planning program funding. “Planned Parenthood is going to court to stop the Trump-Pence administration from trying to impose its ideology on people,” Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens said in a statement, CNN reported.
Planned Parenthood’s visible push comes amid an increase in pro-life advocacy and protests outside of abortion clinics and coincides with a number of measures signed into law or pending approval across the nation. “The [pro-life] protesters are feeling emboldened by the political environment and seeing what they could get away with,” National Abortion Federation President Vicki Saporta said, according to The Associated Press.
Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion business in America, aborting approximately 320,000 unborn babies every year. Its most recent annual report showed a record income of $1.46 billion, with about half a billion dollars coming from taxpayers.
In the past 10 years, the abortion chain saw huge drops in patient numbers and actual health services and scandal after scandal involving aborted baby body parts trafficking, sexual abuse cover-ups, Medicaid fraud and more. Meanwhile, its abortion numbers and taxpayer funding increased.
In December, U.S. Department of Justice said it is investigating whether the abortion chain illegally sold aborted baby body parts.
