An innovative new ultrasound device soon could let mothers see their unborn babies in their own homes using their smartphones.

The Times of Israel reports PulseNmore LTD in Israel still is working on the final stages of their handheld ultrasound device, but they soon hope to market it to expecting mothers.

According to the company, their ultrasound device can connect to any smartphone and be used to view unborn babies, take ultrasound images of them and communicate with doctors. The estimated cost will be $190, according to the report.

Dr. Elazar Sonnenschein, a co-founder of the company, said the idea is to use the device only when there is a concern.

Professor Israel Meisner, a expert obstetrician in Israel, explained: “The new development has one big advantage, which is the calming effect. Women sometimes don’t feel movement, call their doctor and are told to go to an emergency room. Here there’s the option to put a phone on her stomach and see her baby.

“To prevent misunderstandings: this is not an ultrasound to check for defects or pregnancy measurements,” Meisner continued. “This is a device with the sole purpose of calming a woman down, to give her the chance to see her fetus, connect to it when she is stressed, and understand that it is looking okay.”

Modern science has given our society a wonderful look at life in the womb. Via ultrasounds, parents now can see their unborn babies move, yawn and even suck their thumbs.

Amazing new research indicates unborn babies begin learning languages and even nursery rhymes. And before they ever see a human face, some researchers believe unborn babies have the ability to recognize faces. Other studies suggest that unborn babies dream during the last trimester and develop tastes for specific foods.

These awesome new developments are providing new hope for the pro-lifers as they spread the truth that human life is valuable, starting from the moment of conception.
