Planned Parenthood is reaching into its deep pockets once again to influence upcoming elections.

Hoping to take back Congress and preserve its taxpayer funding, the abortion business and partner groups plan to spend $30 million to target voters in Florida, Michigan and Nevada, RollCall reports.

On Monday, the pro-abortion coalition, which calls itself “Win Justice,” announced plans to reach 2.5 million voters who are young adults, women and people of color. The pro-abortion coalition is made up of Planned Parenthood Votes, the Center for Community Change Action, Color Of Change PAC and the Service Employees International Union, according to the report.

Of particular interest to the pro-abortion groups are several U.S. Senate races. With the Senate in pro-abortion Democrats’ hands, abortion activists could continue to block important pro-life legislation, efforts to defund abortion businesses of tax dollars and conservative judicial nominees.

Republicans narrowly hold the U.S. Senate. However, they have too few votes to overcome filibusters on key pro-life bills such as the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Just a few more pro-life wins in the Senate could see important pro-life legislation passed. A few losses could bring the pro-abortion Democratic Party back into power.

Here’s more from the report:

Nevada Republican Sen. Dean Heller faces a formidable electoral test in a tossup race in November. Democrats have coalesced around Rep. Jacky Rosen, though Jesse Sbaih, Rosen’s primary opponent in 2016, has more than $2 million in cash on hand.

In Florida, Democrats are on defense. Sen. Bill Nelson is will be [sic] challenged by wealthy Florida two-term Gov. Rick Scott if Scott, as most experts expect, emerges from the GOP primary.

Michigan, a state that swung for Trump in the 2016 election, doesn’t project to be a major political battleground in 2018. But organizers are hoping to create a groundswell of support in favor of progressive stances on flashpoint policy issues, Jeff Parcher, a spokesman for the Center for Community Change Action, said.

Deirdre Schifeling, executive director of Planned Parenthood Votes, criticized President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on Monday for introducing pro-life policies in the past two years. These included defunding Planned Parenthood’s international arm and cutting off grants to its failed teen pregnancy prevention program.

“The Trump-Pence administration has rolled out discriminatory rules and policies that undermine our basic rights and freedoms,” Schifeling said. “To win in 2018, we need to channel the unprecedented energy and activism we’ve seen in response to these attacks towards winning at the ballot box.”

Separately, in March, Newsweek reported Planned Parenthood’s political arms also plan to spend $20 million to support pro-abortion Senate candidates in eight states.

Key targets include Senate and gubernatorial races in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, according to the report. Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes plan to spend the money on TV and digital ads, mailers and on-the-ground efforts.

Two years ago, Planned Parenthood spent more than $38 million to back Hillary Clinton and other pro-abortion candidates in 2016.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion business in America, aborting approximately 320,000 unborn babies every year. Its most recent annual report showed a record income of $1.46 billion, with about half a billion dollars coming from taxpayers.

In December, the U.S. Department of Justice said it is investigating whether the abortion chain illegally sold aborted baby body parts.
