Planned Parenthood is So Dedicated to Abortion, It Rejected Ivanka Trump’s Deal to Stop Doing Them

The offer would seem reasonable enough to the average person.

Give up your most controversial service – the one that you say is just a small part of your organization — and we’ll support you with hundreds of millions of tax dollars.

That “service” was abortion and the organization Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood receives about $500 million taxpayer dollars every year and aborts more unborn babies than any other group in the United States. While the Trump administration cut off some of the abortion chain’s funding, a large chunk of it remains. The U.S. Department of Justice currently is investigating allegations that Planned Parenthood illegally profited from the sales of aborted baby body parts.

In a new book, the abortion group’s CEO Cecile Richards described meeting with Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, last year to discuss taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood and its abortion business.

What ever Richards hoped for from the meeting, she didn’t get it.

According to Bustle:

As Richards tells it, Kushner said that Planned Parenthood “had made a big mistake by becoming ‘political'” and that the “main issue … was abortion.” So Kushner reportedly made her an offer. Richards writes:

If Planned Parenthood wanted to keep our federal funding, we would have to stop providing abortions. He described his ideal outcome: a national headline reading “Planned Parenthood Discontinues Abortion Services.”

According to The New York Times, Trump suggested to Richards that Planned Parenthood split in two, with one branch offering abortions and the second other services. …

Richards says that she “shut down the conversation” and told the pair that there was “no way” their idea was viable. “It was surreal, essentially being asked to barter away women’s rights for more money,” she reflects in her book. She reportedly told them: “Our mission is to care for women who need us, and that means caring for all of their reproductive needs — including safe and legal abortion.”

What Trump and Kushner suggested was quite reasonable. After all, Planned Parenthood claims abortions are only 3 percent of what it does. With its morally abhorrent practices gone – or at least completely separated from its health care services, Planned Parenthood would not have to battle for tax funding anymore. And it would be able to dedicate hundreds of millions of dollars to the health care services that it loves to tout – things like birth control, STD testing and treatment, cancer screenings and well-women exams.

But when news of the meeting broke last year, Richards called the suggestion “obscene and insulting.”

Now, Richards and her supporters in the news media are trying to make the Trump couple look bad by throwing around terms like “bribe” and “threat” in reference to the meeting.

But it’s Richards whose actions really are disgusting. She has made it very clear that Planned Parenthood is all about abortions, and it will continue to fight to defend its horrible practice of slaughtering 320,000 unborn babies every year.
