You’ve Heard About the #MeToo Movement, What About the #SheToo Movement?

At this critical point in our nation’s history, I think it’s important to remind people that a #SheToo movement—without the hashtag—has been going strong for the past 45 years.

For the pro-life movement, while welcoming people of all backgrounds, is largely powered by and for women.

#SheToo deserves a chance at life, even though she currently resides in her mother’s womb.

#SheToo should be offered special protection as a preborn baby who has been diagnosed with special health challenges and disabilities.

#SheToo should not be subjected to abortion, just because of her sex.

#SheToo is entitled to the right to life, based on her very humanity.

#SheToo should not be coerced into abortion by a boyfriend, husband, parent, or grandparent, but should be free to make a life-affirming decision for herself and her child when faced with an unexpected pregnancy.

#SheToo deserves compassion and support, no matter what the circumstances of her pregnancy might be.

#SheToo should receive accurate information about adoption as a loving parenting choice.

#SheToo should be offered all the resources and counseling she needs to deal with the harmful after-effects of abortion.

#SheToo should not be judged, but should be celebrated, when she seeks renewed hope and healing when she is grieving the loss of a child to abortion.

#SheToo should be commended for donating her time and talent to providing counseling and support to women facing challenging pregnancies.

#SheToo should be encouraged to contact state and federal officials to lobby for legislation that protects preborn children and their mothers from the harm of abortion.

#SheToo should be shielded from those who push doctor-prescribed suicide as the answer to the health challenges she faces in her life.

#SheToo should be honored and cherished, whether she is an unborn baby girl, a pregnant teenager, a woman in her ‘40s faced with an unexpected pregnancy, or an elderly woman battling a heartless cost-centered bureaucracy to safeguard her life.

Forty-five years after the disastrous U.S. Supreme Court decision known as Roe v. Wade, the #SheToo movement is alive and well and saving lives and touching hearts every day.

Keep up with the latest pro-life news and information on Twitter.

It is succeeding, but the final victory will not be won until every unborn baby girl is welcomed into the human family…every pregnant woman knows she is supported and loved…and every senior female knows that no doctor or state entity can take her precious life away from her.
