Pro-Abortion Members of Congress Want Cecile Richards to Run for Office After She Leaves Planned Parenthood

Abortion activists think Cecile Richards did such a great job promoting the killing of unborn babies at Planned Parenthood that they want her to run for U.S. Congress.

Richards, who announced her resignation from the abortion chain last week, has not said what she plans to do next. She has given several vague hints about political advocacy; however, a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood told BuzzFeed that she does not plan to run for office.

Pro-abortion Democrats are urging her to run just the same. According to the Daily Dot, U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington state and U.S. Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey said Richards would make an excellent politician.

“I wondered if she was running for office, I was going to ask her tonight,” Jayapal told BuzzFeed News. “She would be an amazing candidate if she wanted to run.”

Booker said Richards would be an “extraordinary elected leader.”

Abortion activists like Alicia Garza, co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement, also are encouraging Richards to run.

“F— yeah she should run for office!” Garza said. “We’ve basically made a whole plan for her campaign without her.”

The CEO since 2006, Richards drew in huge salary by leading the “non-profit.” During her tenure, Planned Parenthood saw huge drops in patient numbers and actual health services and scandal after scandal involving aborted baby body parts trafficking and sexual abuse cover-ups.

More than 3 million unborn babies were aborted under Richards’ leadership as well.

At the same time, the abortion chain reaped in record profits, including billions in taxpayer funding, and maintained a corner on the American abortion market. It ramped up its political advocacy and attacked numerous efforts to protect unborn and born babies from abortion.

Since the announcement last week, speculation has run rampant as to why Richards is stepping down.

Many pro-life leaders believe it has to do with the impending FBI investigation into Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts that potentially violates both federal and state laws.

Other pro-life advocates believe it is connected to Planned Parenthood’s major loss at the ballot box last fall. Its candidate for president Hillary Clinton suffered a devastating and surprising loss to President Donald Trump. The Planned Parenthood abortion business invested very heavily into Clinton’s campaign, and Richards was at the forefront of the movement to get the pro-abortion candidate in the White House.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion business in America, aborting approximately 320,000 unborn babies every year. Its most recent annual report showed a record income of $1.46 billion, with about half a billion dollars coming from taxpayers.

In December, the U.S. Department of Justice said it is investigating whether the abortion chain illegally sold aborted baby body parts.
