The Walk for Life West Coast is gearing up for its 14th annual pro-life event in just a few weeks on Saturday, January 27th. The tremendous growth and success of the Walk – from the first crowd of 7,000 in 2005 to an estimated 50,000 last year – is due to the dedicated effort of hundreds of volunteers from the Bay Area community and surrounding areas.

But the work of the Walk does not just take place on one day – there are a vast number of pro-life events surrounding the Walk for Life that will help its leaders, volunteers, and participants continue to stand strong for life year-round. This year, there 17 events surrounding the Walk. These include an Info Faire with pro-life resources, prayer vigils, rallies, an educational and leadership conference, pro-life talks, opportunities for activism, a Gala, and social activities. A full list of events surrounding the Walk can be found here: https://www.walkforlifewc.com/event-info/event-schedule/

Walk for Life co-founder and organizer Eva Muntean explains, “While the Walk for Life is an incredible amount of work it is also incredibly rewarding. For me to see how the Walk has positively affected the Archdiocese of San Francisco and surrounding communities, to see the participation of so many fearless and holy young people, to see the number of prayerful events hosted by our local churches, to see the Students For Life Conferences, to see hearts and minds being changed on the streets of San Francisco . . . it is a dream come true! And just when I think it couldn’t get better, this year we have Joe Scheidler speaking at the Walk – I am thrilled that we are able to honor him!”

Joining Mr. Scheidler in speaking at the rally are also Terry Beatley, founder of the Hosea Initiative; pro-life OBGYN Dr. John Bruchalski; and Rev. Clenard Childress, Jr., the founder of the website www.blackgenocide.org.

Organizers have also released a powerful new promo video and encourage people to share this on social media. The video may be viewed directly at https://youtu.be/A32Tp93cst8 or on the main website, www.walkforlifewc.com
