Planned Parenthood Does 83 Times More Abortions Than Adoption Referrals

For every one adoption referral Planned Parenthood made during its 2016-17 fiscal year, the organization terminated 83 unborn children, according to the taxpayer-funded group’s newly released annual report.

Rolled out quietly over the holiday, the annual round up reveals Planned Parenthood performed 321,384 abortions during its last fiscal year, while offering only 3,889 adoption referrals.

Thankfully, the number of Planned Parenthood’s unborn victims was down at least marginally this year, dropping from 328,348 abortions in FY2016.

But while the abortion giant seemed to have no trouble terminating unborn children, their willingness to care for those who were wanted was undeniably lax. With nearly 600 clinics nationwide, the group offered a paltry 7,762 prenatal services over that same time frame – a figure perhaps slightly less unbelievable when one remembers that the vast majority of Planned Parenthood clinics don’t even offer care for pregnant women who choose to keep their children.

When they weren’t busy pulling unborn babies from their mothers’ wombs, Planned Parenthood managed to squeeze in about 281,000 of the nation’s 17 million yearly Pap tests (so about 1.6 percent or so), along with roughly 336,600 breast exams (no, not mammograms – Planned Parenthood doesn’t do those).

Despite terminating nearly 1,000 unborn children a day while not doing much else, the group still managed to rake in nearly $1.5 billion during FY2017, including more than $540 million in federal, state and local government funds. The not-for-profit organization reported making about $98 million more in revenue than they spent last year.
