Feminists Call Judge a “Hero” Who Struck Down Ban on Dismemberment Abortions Tearing Off Babies’ Limbs

Pro-abortion feminists described a Texas judge as a “hero” this week after he struck down a ban on brutal dismemberment abortions that tear unborn babies limb from limb while their hearts are beating.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel blocked Texas Senate Bill 8 one day before it would have gone into effect. Signed into law earlier this summer, the legislation prohibits dismemberment abortions, a method typically used in the second trimester to kill nearly fully-formed, living unborn babies. It is a barbaric and dangerous procedure in which the unborn baby is ripped apart in the womb and pulled out in pieces while his or her heart is still beating.

Yeakel is a liberal judge who has ruled against other abortion regulations in the past, so the move was not wholly unexpected. State Attorney General Ken Paxton is expected to appeal.

The Mary Sue, a pro-abortion feminist blog, celebrated the ruling Wednesday by hailing the judge as a “hero” and laughing off claims that pro-life advocates want to protect unborn babies’ lives.

Headlined “Hero Judge Strikes Down Texas Ban on Safe Abortion Procedure,” the blog read:

The [abortion] procedure is the safest form of late-term abortion, and is relied on by women whose access to abortion is delayed by some of the many unnecessary restrictions in Texas, or by women faced with extreme health circumstances. …

The judge added: “The State’s valid interest in promoting respect for the life of the unborn, although legitimate, is not sufficient to justify such a substantial obstacle to the constitutionally protected right of a woman to terminate a pregnancy before fetal viability.”

I’m sure we can all share in a collective eye roll over the suggestion that abortion bans are rooted in “respect for the life of the unborn” and not outright, reckless disdain for women’s bodily autonomy, but at the very least the judge ruled in Texas women’s favor.

Pro-abortion feminists are the ones who truly show utter disregard for fellow human beings. Abortion bans like the one in Texas are exactly for the purpose of protecting living, unique unborn human babies from brutal, inhumane deaths. An abortion is never safe because its very purpose is to kill a human being.

What Texas and a handful of other states are working to ban is one of the most brutal forms of abortion. In a dismemberment abortion, a nearly fully-formed unborn baby is torn apart limb by limb in the womb while their heart still is beating.

Texas state lawyers argued that, if nothing else, abortionists should first make sure the baby is dead before dismembering him or her; not doing so is cruel and barbaric. But Yeakel and pro-abortion feminists turned a blind eye to this cruelty, claiming only to care about women’s ability to access this supposedly “safe” procedure.

Abortion activists do not really care about women’s safety, either. Texas lawmakers have been working hard to protect women from unsafe and unsanitary abortion practices, but abortion activists fought against those, too.

It is increasingly apparent that radical pro-abortion feminists really just want females of all ages to easily and legally abort their unborn babies for any reason and at any time in their pregnancy.
