Jimmy Kimmel: Republicans Should “Pray to God to Forgive Them” Because They Caused the Las Vegas Shooting

Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is at it again, this time blaming Republicans for causing the horrific shooting in Las Vegas. His comments follow those from a CBS News executive who also blamed Republicans and was summarily fired for her comments.

From Newsbusters:

The liberal media’s favorite late night shill and self-described pizza eating expert, Jimmy Kimmel used his show the day after the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada to push for gun control while smearing Congressional Republicans for helping to cause the bloodshed. “They should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country because it’s so crazy,” the emotional Kimmel exclaimed to his audience.

I’ve been reading comments from people who say this is terrible but there’s nothing we can do about it. But I disagree with that intensely because, of course, there is something we can do about it. There are a lot of things we can do about it. But we don’t,” he began.

Kimmel is essentially saying pro-life Republicans are doing nothing about the destruction of human life. Balderdash.

While the shooting itself and the debate over gun laws is not a specific pro-life issue, blaming Republicans, most of whom are vehemently pro-life, for the horrible shooting is reprehensible. Pro-life Republican members of Congress certainly did not delight in the shooting nor were they responsible for it.

It’s ironic that Jimmy Kimmel, who has been on camera promoting abortion, claims to have the moral authority to chastise pro-life Republicans. Whatever the disagreements over gun-related laws are, there is no reason to bash pro-life Advocates or blame them for causing a horrific shooting simply because of that disagreement.

Kimmel’s comments are similar to those made today on the floor of the House of Representatives by pro-abortion representative Louise Slaughter. During her attempts to defend the legality of late-term abortion, she accused pro-life members of Congress of not caring about children after birth.

Again the irony is palpable. Here is a member of Congress who supports killing unborn children are late-term abortions lecturing pro-life Advocates and making wild-eyed assertions that they don’t support children after birth.

Kimmel needs to get back to interviewing pop culture icons and get out of the business of slamming pro-life advocates for horrific tragedies.
