Speaking at a marketing conference on Wednesday, former first lady Michelle Obama suggested that women who voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election voted “against their own voice.”

“Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice,” she said, according to video from the Inbound 2017 conference in Boston. “What does it mean for us as women that we look at those two candidates, as women, and many of us said, ‘That guy, he’s better for me, his voice is more true to me’ … Well, to me that just says you don’t like your voice. You like the thing you’re told to like.”

Every week, The Daily Signal’s “Problematic Women” shines a spotlight on strong conservative women, current events, and the hypocrisy of the “feminist” left. Co-hosted with Bre Payton of The Federalist, this week’s episode takes on Obama’s comments, Saudi Arabia’s decision to allow women to drive, and more. And as always, we crown our problematic woman of the week.
