Pro-abortion feminists defended actress Martha Plimpton this week after she joked about the “best” abortion that she ever had.
Plimpton, known for her roles in “The Goonies” and “The Real O’Neals,” recently bragged in front of a Seattle crowd that she had multiple abortions and her first was the “best one.”
“[I] had my first abortion here at the Seattle Planned Parenthood. Notice I said ‘first’… I don’t want you guys to feel insecure, it was my best one. Heads and tails above the rest. If I could Yelp review it, I totally would,” Plimpton told the crowd as they applauded.
Newsbusters, LifeNews and other pro-life news outlets reported on the depravity of Plimpton’s remarks about killing her unborn children. But the media attention prompted pro-abortion feminists to defend Plimpton’s ravings.
“Disgusted to see harassment directed at @MarthaPlimpton for having the temerity to talk about her abortion experience,” pro-abortion writer Jessica Valenti wrote on Twitter, the Daily Caller reports. “People can talk about their abortions however they like – with sadness, relief, humor or ambivalence. It’s their story, period.”
But Valenti and many like her often deny that many women feel sadness or pain after aborting their unborn babies. Her next tweet was evidence of this. Only women who brag about their abortions, who believe that aborting unborn children is a good thing have been given the opportunity to share their stories in many mainstream and women’s news outlets and pro-abortion blogs.

These pro-abortion feminists are blind to the fact that an abortion kills a child – a unique, living human being with their own DNA and a heartbeat. An abortion destroys that child’s life in a brutal, inhumane way, sometimes by ripping the baby limb by limb or crushing its body before removing it from the womb.

Abortion is a human rights abuse against the most vulnerable, defenseless members of society. And it’s not something to joke about any more than any other human rights abuse is.
But pro-abortion activists keep trying to make light of a matter that Americans think is morally wrong.

“Notice I said ‘first.’ I said ‘first.’ And I don’t want Seattle – I don’t want you guys to feel insecure, it was my best one,” she joked, prompting laughter from both the audience and [abortionist Willie] Parker.
“Heads and tails above the rest,” she continued on her abortion. “If I could Yelp review it, I totally would. And if that doctor’s here tonight, I don’t remember you at all, I was 19. I was 19, but I thank you nonetheless.”
