Terri Schiavo’s Brother Meets With Charlie Gard and His Parents to Fight For His Life

I’ve been in London more than three days now, doing whatever I can to advocate for little Charlie Gard. I met his parents, Chris and Connie, and was blessed to be able to meet little Charlie on Saturday. He’s as cute as any little kid his age, and his parents love for him is so clear.

As I prayed for him and his parents in their attempt to win back their basic rights as parents to care for their son, I thought of so many of you who have reached out to me and to them to offer their support. Here’s a photo we took after I met Charlie:

I’m writing today to let you know that a critical judicial hearing is happening at 9AM Eastern this morning (2PM in London). Mr. Justice Francis will be hearing from Great Ormond Street Hospital to consider their request to accept an experimental American treatment that could help Charlie and those like him. This will be considered at the Royal Courts of Justice, Stand, London. Please pray for Chris and Connie to be heard and for their wish for basic care for their son to be successful.

I’m just one of a number of advocates here in London with the Gard family. I traveled with Rev. Patrick Mahoney and Catherine Glenn Foster of Americans United for Life, and will be returning home soon. I believe that between our appearances, our speaking, and our weekend rally, we’re making a difference in advocating for Chris and Connie’s rights as parents to do whatever possible to treat their son.

I’m including a photo of Chris and Connie from Saturday’s rally that gives you a sense that this case is finally getting the attention it deserves. Praise God.
