Hey Democrats: You Might Win More Elections If You’d Stop Killing Your Voters in the Womb

Democrats keep puzzling about why they are losing so many elections, but they do not seem to want to hear the answer that so many people are giving: abortion.

Pro-life advocates — Republican, Democrat, independent and otherwise – have been shouting out this answer repeatedly for years, but the words seem to fall on deaf ears.

The abortion industry has embedded itself deeply into the Democratic Party, and many voters have turned away because they cannot stomach the party’s new taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand up until birth platform. Just a small minority of voters hold such a radical position.

This week, after a pro-abortion Democrat suffered another loss in a closely-watched U.S. Congressional election in Georgia, conservative blogger Matt Walsh posed another theory about why the party is losing.

“The Democrat Party is literally killing itself” by supporting the abortion deaths of millions of unborn babies and potential future voters, Walsh wrote at The Blaze.

He continued:

I can’t help but notice a potential correlation between their eagerness to murder the next generation and their inability to win elections. There is an argument to be made, at least, that you can’t cultivate future voters by ripping them to pieces and selling them for parts. Nobody can say for sure how many of the 50 million children murdered since Roe would have grown up to be Democrats — and their political affiliation certainly has no bearing on their inherent human value and dignity — but I think we can make a few safe assumptions.

Walsh pointed out how abortions are disproportionately high in minority communities, especially African American. About 14 of the population in the U.S. is black, but black Americans have 30 percent of all abortions. The abortion industry targets minorities, too. A survey found that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood’s surgical abortion facilities are within walking distance of minority neighborhoods.

And minority Americans tend to vote Democrat.

“Overall, dating back to 1973, the black population would be 36 percent larger if not for abortion,” Walsh wrote.

Democrats in general tend to support legalized abortion in most cases, leading Walsh to think that they probably also are having more abortions than those in other political parties. After all, most people support things they would want for themselves.

Walsh continued:

Now, I’m not suggesting that the primary reason to abolish abortion is so that the world will be blessed with more Democrats. The primary reason to abolish abortion is simply that human life is sacred and the intentional destruction of innocent life is a moral abomination. All other concerns and considerations are secondary to this point, and basically irrelevant in comparison to it.

The Democratic Party claims to be a champion for the most vulnerable in society, but it has lost sight of this mission when it comes to babies in the womb. And it will continue to lose voters, born and unborn, if it maintains its radical pro-abortion stance.

Democratic Party leaders who are searching for answers should stop listening to the abortion industry and start considering what Walsh and especially members of their own party are saying. Abortion only kills and destroys. It’s time for the party to recognize that unborn babies are some of the most vulnerable members of society today and worthy of protection.
