Kermit Gosnell, the notorious Philadelphia abortionist who was convicted of murdering newborn babies several years ago, apparently still is registered to vote.

Breitbart reports though Gosnell is a convicted murderer, his name is still on the Philadelphia voter rolls.

In 2013, a jury convicted Gosnell of murdering three newborn babies and contributing to the death of a female patient, along with numerous other crimes. He was sentenced to life in prison; but his name remains on the Philadelphia list of registered voters.

Here’s more from Breitbart:

Gosnell, who evaded the scrutiny of the city and the state of Pennsylvania for decades, is listed as “inactive” on the voter rolls, but if he appeared at the polls with ID, he would be permitted to cast his vote in Philadelphia.

In addition to Gosnell, other felons still registered to vote in the city include former Democratic Rep. Chaka Fattah of Philadelphia – convicted of federal racketeering and bribery and serving 10 years in prison – and former Democratic Rep. William Jefferson of Louisiana, sentenced to 13 years after a conviction in 2009 on corruption charges and the discovery of $90,000 in cash bribes in his freezer.

According to Knight, the city’s officials claim law restricts felons from voting because when one fails to vote in two federal elections, he or she can be removed from the rolls. Despite this law, however – and the fact that Gosnell has not voted in five years – he is still eligible to cast his vote.

Pennsylvania is one of 15 states that prohibits voting rights for people convicted of felonies while they are incarcerated, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Once they are released, their right to vote automatically is restored.

Gosnell was sentenced to three consecutive life in prison terms for his crimes, meaning he will never have the right to vote unless his sentences are greatly lessened or overturned.

His notorious “house of horrors” abortion facility shocked the world. Gosnell operated his filthy abortion center for three decades in Philadelphia before authorities uncovered the criminal activity.

According to court testimony, Gosnell would perform illegal abortions on late-term unborn babies, inducing live births and then stabbing the babies in the backs of their necks with scissors to kill them.

He may have killed hundreds, perhaps thousands of late-term babies this way. However, investigators said Gosnell destroyed most of the evidence that possibly could have led to further convictions.

Gosnell continues to claim that he is innocent.
