Planned Parenthood finally decided to “explain” abortion – by creating an animation of an unborn baby as a white glob. While the liberal media praised the “education” lesson, Planned Parenthood couldn’t be further from the truth.
As America’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood released cartoon videos earlier this month to illustrate abortion, with one on the “abortion pill” and another on the “in-clinic abortion.”
Even in the surgical abortion video, for pregnancies past 10 weeks, Planned Parenthood represented the unborn baby merely as a white dot, or filled-in circle.
“During an in-clinic abortion,” the female narrator calmly relayed, “a doctor, nurse, or other health care provider empties your uterus using gentle suction and sometimes other medical tools.”
She tried to reassure viewers.

“Abortion is very common and it’s also very safe,” she stressed, “and serious problems are extremely rare.”
Except for that one person always dies in an abortion. And the abortion industry poses many risks to women – but its friends in the media just don’t report them to the public.
Instead, they praise videos like these. Teen Vogue, which has pushed abortion to teens more than 63 times this year already, hyped the videos that “explain abortion process” and make it “even easier to get educated.” The Huffington Post also wrote on the videos that “tell you everything you need to know about options and the procedure itself.”
Last year, to actually show Americans abortion for what it is, pro-life group Live Action released its own animated videos. Respected obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Anthony Levatino, who performed more than 1,200 abortions until he became pro-life, served as narrator.
As the president of Live Action, Lila Rose stressed in an accompanying press release that the videos could change (and save) lives.
“Our experience shows us that once people see the violent reality of what abortion does to a preborn child,” she said, “it’s hard for them to justify it.”
“This unique window into the womb dispels the myth that abortions remove ‘clumps of cells,’” Rose continued, “and instead shows that they kill real children with beating hearts and forming brains.”
The “clumps of cells” or, in this case, the little white dots myth that Planned Parenthoods and the liberal media try so hard to push.
According to its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood performed 323,999 abortions and received $553.7 million in “government health services grants and reimbursements” for the year 2014 – 2015.
While the Hyde Amendment generally bars federal funding (from taxpayers) from abortion, pro-life leaders argue money is fungible – or that Planned Parenthood could offset costs with public funds to free up other resources for abortion. And that’s not counting the 17 states that use taxpayer money to fund abortion.
