The abortion business Planned Parenthood is trying to raise money in any way it can as it prepares to lose millions in taxpayer funding.

During another fundraiser for its abortion work this month in Texas, Planned Parenthood welcomed Marcia Clark, best known as the prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson case, according to Dallas Magazine.

Clark, a former prosecutor for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, was the keynote speaker at the luncheon awards ceremony and fundraiser on Wednesday in Dallas. The event raised more than $1 million for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, Dallas News reports.

“I think Planned Parenthood is in jeopardy and that means millions of low-income women in particular, their lives, their health, [and] the health of their children is in jeopardy. So, it’s never been a more important time to stand up and be heard,” Clark told the crowd.

Last week, Barbara Pierce Bush, daughter of the former pro-life president, was the keynote speaker at another posh lunch fundraiser to benefit Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, with sponsorships of up to $20,000. Bush’s support of the abortion chain puts her at odds with her pro-life father who defunded International Planned Parenthood during his first week in office as president.

Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas is one of the many reasons why the national abortion group could lose its taxpayer funding. It is the same affiliate whose abortion practitioner Amna Dermish was caught on video by the Center for Medical Progress explaining how she was striving to harvest “intact” aborted babies’ brains during later-term abortions.

A recent congressional investigation into the abortion business involving its sales of aborted baby parts concluded with lawmakers recommended that Congress defund it. Planned Parenthood also has been caught in numerous scandals involving Medicaid fraud and failures to report suspected sex trafficking and sexual abuse of minors.

Planned Parenthood currently receives about half a billion tax dollars and performs about 320,000 abortions annually.

On Monday, Republicans in Congress released the American Health Care Act. Their plan to repeal Obamacare includes provisions that would revoke funding for Planned Parenthood.

Under the legislation, there is a provision in the bill that prohibits states from using “direct spending” on “prohibited entities” with federal funds allocated from the legislation; and those entities include any entity that “provides for abortions.” That means the nation’s biggest abortion corporation — Planned Parenthood.
