As hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers gather around the U.S. Capitol today, new President Donald Trump sent out Tweets supporting the March for Life.

Trump posted two pro-life messages on social media, as other top members of his administration joined the marchers on the National Mall. Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, spoke during the March for Life rally, as did Kellyanne Conway, a chief White House advisor and Trump’s former campaign manager.

In his address to the crowd, Pence said the Trump Administration will continue working with pro-life advocates to defund Planned Parenthood, stop taxpayer funding of abortions, and ban late-term abortions.

He noted the “historic election of a president who stands for a stronger America, a more prosperous America, and a president who I say proudly stands for the right to life – President Donald Trump.”

“President Trump asked me to be here with you and thank you for your stance for life and compassion for the women and children of America,” Pence told the crowd.

“We’re in the promise-keeping business. That’s why on Monday, the president reinstated the Mexico City Policy,” Pence said. “This administration will work to end taxpayer funding of abortion and abortion providers.”

“Life is winning again in America!” he declared.

Pence was the first sitting vice president to speak at the March for Life. Second Lady Karen Pence told the crowd her family has attended the pro-life march for more than 16 years.
