Normally baby showers tend to be about receiving, not giving.

However, for “19 Kids and Counting” star Jessa Duggar Seewald, her baby shower turned into a charitable event to help lives both born and unborn, the Daily Mail reports.

Duggar Seewald chose to give her baby shower gifts to the Loving Choices Pregnancy Center, a pro-life organization in Rogers and Fayetteville, Arkansas, the report continues. Furthermore, she spent the time with her friends and family compiling care packages for pregnant women, including Bible verses.

“We are overjoyed to announce that Spurgeon has a new title in life as ‘big brother’! We are so thankful that God is adding to our family,” Duggar Seewald told US Magazine. “2017 is shaping up to be a wonderful year already and we know Spurgeon will do a great job in his new role. Having Spurgeon has been such a wonderful blessing and we cannot wait to see the face of this sweet new baby (or babies!).”

The family is very pro-life, and has faced criticism for their stance on abortion.

Jessa’s older sister Jill is expecting a second child as well in the near future, according to the Daily Mail. Her husband recently faced criticism for a Twitter post defining murder as sin, citing “you shall not murder” as stated in Exodus 20:13. The Inquisitor reports Jill’s husband, Derick, also tweeted a LifeNews article about the Duggar family and about being pro-life “from womb to tomb,” a phrase that angered abortion supporters.
