She Managed a Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic But Quit When This Happened

Nearly 200 cities have already applied to host the next 40 Days for Life campaign from March 1 to April 9! Will your city join the map?

If you’re ready … go ahead and apply today!

If you’re wondering, “Can I really do this?” … let me introduce you to the woman who is probably the most unlikely 40 Days for Life leader — ever!

When Sue Thayer applied to bring 40 Days for Life to the sidewalk outside Planned Parenthood in Storm Lake, Iowa … she had a perspective that no local leader had ever brought to the campaign.

Sue once served as the manager of that Planned Parenthood center! She had thought she was helping the women in her community … until Planned Parenthood ordered her location to provide the controversial, experimental “telemed” abortions.

Here’s how it worked.

An abortion doctor in a distant city “examined” potential abortion clients in Storm Lake and other small cities — via webcam on a computer.

The doctor never met the client in person, but would prescribe the RU-486 abortion pill for her to take on her own. Sue had a problem with this — and told upper management about it.

Needless to say, she didn’t work for Planned Parenthood much longer.

Eventually, Sue realized that she was pro-life … and began researching things she could do to make a difference in Storm Lake.

She prayed and reflected about her time at Planned Parenthood and their role in abortion. She also recalled how much Planned Parenthood really didn’t like 40 Days for Life.

So … she applied to lead the campaign.

It only took one campaign for God to answer the prayers of the volunteers in Storm Lake. After that first 40 Days for Life vigil ended, Planned Parenthood locked the doors and left town!

It only requires one person taking a leap of faith — and yes, putting in a lot of hard work — but God takes it from there!

The question Sue poses to all of us is … … if a former Planned Parenthood manager can end up leading a 40 Days for Life campaign, could you? Applications to lead a campaign remain open until next Tuesday, December 20.
