Radical abortion advocate Nancy Pelosi announced today that she will run for reelection to her position as the House Democrat Leader.

Pelosi sent a letter to her Democratic colleagues on Wednesday saying she has support from two-thirds of Democrats in the House. If true it appears Pelosi would be able to stave off potential challenges from other Democrats who are disappointed in her leadership in the wake of Hillary Clinton surprising loss in the presidential election.

“It is with both humility and confidence that I write to request your support for House Democratic Leader. As of this writing, I am pleased to report the support of more than two-thirds of the Caucus,” she wrote.

Here’s more:

Pelosi’s announcement comes at a tenuous time—she was forced to delay leadership elections after an uprising from rank-and-file members Tuesday—but her already widespread support could put to rest any rumors of a potential challenger and shows her standing within the caucus remains strong.

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) has floated the idea of challenging Pelosi for the top Democratic post but hasn’t formally declared. Ryan or anyone else knocking off Pelosi was a long shot even before her announcement today.

Pelosi has a loyal following among the Democratic Caucus she has led for 14 years and is a powerhouse fundraiser — she’s raised $568 million since entering Democratic leadership in 2002.

Earlier this year Pelosi slammed the investigation into Planned Parenthood’s sale of body parts from abortion babies. She called the investigation “unAmerican.”

“What’s going on in the Congress today is, to borrow a phrase, unAmerican,” said House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) on Friday, adding that the committee is acting in ways “not seen on Capitol Hill since the days of Joseph McCarthy.”

Leading pro-life groups found it ironic that Pelosi and House Democrats would call for an end to the investigation o the anniversary of Kermti Gosnell’s conviction.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List told LifeNews that Americans need to remember today is the three-year anniversary of the conviction of late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell.

“During Kermit Gosnell’s trial America’s eyes were forced open in horror at the barbarism of late-term abortion. Three years later, we remain one of only seven nations to allow abortion on-demand after five months – a point by which unborn children feel pain,” said Dannenfelser.

“If that were not bad enough, we now know abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood harvest and sell the body parts of aborted children – all while they fight common sense standards aimed at protecting the health and safety of women,” she continued.
