5 Questions to Ask Hillary Clinton at the Next Debate About Her Abortion Extremism

Tip of the hat to Life News for a clever, thoughtful post that ran today under the headline, “Top 10 Abortion Questions Hillary Clinton Wasn’t Asked at the Debate.“

Let me add an additional Top Five questions Lester Holt didn’t ask Mrs. Clinton about abortion.

#1. There are 80-90 million people viewing this first presidential debate, Secretary Clinton. Do you still stick by what you told Chuck Todd of Meet the Press–that “The unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights,” including (when asked by Paula Paris of The View) “on its due date, just hours before delivery”?

#2. As you know, Secretary Clinton, last January Planned Parenthood, for the first time, endorsed a candidate in the primary: you. You told the crowd in New Hampshire, “Any right that requires you to take extraordinary measures to access it is no right at all,” and that included “laws on the book like the Hyde Amendment making it harder for low-income women to exercise their full rights.” Is it not true that for decades a solid majority of Americans has made it abundantly clear they do not want their taxpayer dollars paying for abortions, which is what the Hyde Amendment prevents?

#3. Speaking of the Hyde Amendment, a recent study of this provision attached to the annual appropriations bill that covers many federal health programs (including Medicaid) estimates that up to two million people are alive today who wouldn’t be if the federal government were paying for abortions. What would you say to those two million boys and girls, men and women?

SIGN THE PLEDGE! We Oppose Hillary Clinton!

#4. Along with your husband, President Bill Clinton, you once said that abortion should be “safe, legal and rare.” While in the Senate, you opposed the ban on partial-birth abortions, a ban on a “procedure” so hideous I won’t explain what it means on national television. You now oppose the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act to protect unborn babies 20 weeks and older from excruciating late abortions. You oppose parental involvement in the abortion decisions of minor girls. And, as noted, you oppose the Hyde Amendment. Before it was passed, the federal Medicaid program was paying for about 300,000 elective abortions annually, and the number was increasing rapidly. How does all this square with making abortion “safe, legal and rare”?

#5. In 2008, then Senator Baraka Obama said that Americans “get bitter” and “cling” to “guns or religion” to “explain their frustrations.”

Eight years later, you recently said, “You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. . . The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. . . some of those folks, they are irredeemable.” Many of those “deplorables” are pro-lifers. When they oppose abortion, are they “clinging” to their “guns or religion” to express their “frustrations”?
