While many celebrities use their fame to push abortion, the stars of the hit reality show “Duck Dynasty” have been strong advocates for the rights of unborn babies.

This week in an interview with My Faith Votes, Phil Robertson discussed the presidential election and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s radical pro-abortion stance. Robertson, his children and grandchildren all have expressed strong pro-life values in the past.

Robertson told the radio show:

“The people that get elected and are sent to Washington, D.C. to represent us, the United States citizens, we are the ones that put them in there,” Robertson tells My Faith Votes. “The problem is not so much the ones that end up in there — the politicians — it is the people who put them in there. We elect people. Well, if you elect depraved souls, you are going to get depravity. That’s just the way it works.”

Robertson says God instructed people not to kill, and yet people are doing it through abortion. He notes that Trump’s opponent, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, is one of the biggest supporters of abortion service provider Planned Parenthood.

“Remember, everything I do is vetted through the Bible. When God says ‘don’t murder,’ I’m taking it for what He said. Therefore, don’t kill your children in their womb. It’s murder. So, don’t murder,” Robertson stresses.

Robertson, who favors Trump, told voters to consider biblical principles before casting their votes.

“I am going to leave that up to you to cast your vote. I would say cast your vote for the one that we have a better chance to remain the republic that we are,” Robertson said. “So, I would just simply say: You have political correctness on the one side. Biblical correctness on the other. I am on the biblically-correct side. Therefore, I would tiptoe through the tulips but you just have to vote your conscience …”

The reality show family members have been strong advocates of conservative, Christian values, including the right to life. Phil’s son Willie and his wife Korie Robertson have adopted several children, and another son Alan and his wife, Lisa, have spoken about Lisa’s regret after having an abortion. Another son Jase and his wife, Missy, have been vocal advocates for abstinence until marriage.

In 2013, Phil Robertson made his position on abortion clear when he spoke at a pregnancy center banquet in Texas.

He said, “You can only run sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll so far. The bottom line is what came out of that movement is what you’re now witnessing. They had little innocent names; they called us ‘hippies’ and ‘flower children.’ That movement lured 60 million babies out of their mothers’ wombs. What came out of that are universities that take our children and warp their minds – the ungodliness is literally rampant. All of the diseases that go with immorality, all of that stuff came out of my generation.”

Phil Robertson said he led the “hippie” lifestyle of “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” for a while, but he had a conversion experience that led him to Jesus.
