A woman is facing murder charges after she allegedly killed her newborn baby last week at her home in England.
Gintare Suminaite, 29, from Lithuania, was arrested last Wednesday at a hospital in England after an ambulance crew discovered her newborn baby girl dead in her home, according to the Daily Mail. Authorities believe the woman murdered her newborn daughter.
The emergency responders arrived at Suminaite’s West Sussex home early last Wednesday morning and rushed her to the hospital for urgent medical treatment, the report states. Her newborn daughter was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
On Monday, a British court charged Suminaite with murdering her newborn daughter. Suminaite’s motives and her newborn baby’s cause of death have not been reported.
It is tragic that the location and manner of Suminaite’s baby daughter’s death are what society uses to determine her worth. If her baby was still in the womb, Suminaite could have legally aborted her up until the moment of birth in America.
More than 18,000 unborn, viable babies die in America every year in late-term abortions, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
