Comedian Samantha Bee of The Daily Show fame ranted against pro-life presidential candidates on her TBS show Monday, Feb. 22, most pointedly with a joke that Ted Cruz “once killed an abortion doctor through prayer.”
According to a transcript from Newsbusters , Bee continued, “In the nauseating bus terminal restroom that is the Republican primary, John Kasich initially seems like the least disgusting stall.”
However, she went on to explain that such assumptions are misguided, since Kasich is pro-life. The quote Bee used to back up this criticism is from Ohio Right to Life, which said, “There’s no candidate running for president who has done more for the pro-life movement than John Kasich.” Kasich is the governor of Ohio.

She then criticized Kasich for signing a bill that defunds Planned Parenthood in his state, claiming that because of the decision, “Cancer cells and HIV viruses will finally have chance to come to full term.”
But, she added, Kasich was better than Cruz “who once killed an abortion doctor through prayer” — what ever that means.
In reality, as reported by The Post Athens, the money that used to go to Planned Parenthoods in Ohio will be directed to organizations that provide health services and not elective abortions.
Previously, Bee also said candidate Marco Rubio’s criticism of Hillary Clinton’s support of late-term abortion was “the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard,” according to a review from The New York Times.
Cruz, Kasich and Rubio all have strong pro-life records as elected officials. It’s little wonder that abortion supporters like Bee don’t want to see them become president of the U.S.
