Oregon Assisted Suicide Deaths Hit Record High in 2015

Oregon just released its phony-baloney annual assisted suicide statistics. (Phony-baloney since they rely almost exclusively on doctor self reporting, and the Oregon death bureaucrats have no budget or legal authority to conduct independent investigations if they obtain information of “abuses.”)

The numbers of assisted suicides have grown to 132 in 2015–up from 105 in 2014, and 73 in 2013.

For those who think that is still low, consider: Oregon has about 10% of the population of California. California just legalized assisted suicide. That means, using the same number of annual deaths compared to the population, California would experience about 1300 extra suicides a year.

California, in turn, is about 10% of the nation’s population. Extrapolating very roughly to a national count, it would come to a whopping 13,000 annual assisted suicides.

And the numbers are moving up pretty consistently each year.

The moral of the story: If much of the nation succumbs to assisted suicide advocacy–and the numbers keep climbing consistently as is the usual pattern wherever assisted suicide/euthanasia are legalized–it would not be long before tens of thousands of people died by lethal prescription or injection, each year.

If that doesn’t disturb you, you are part of the culture of death.
