Abortionist Botches 18-Week Abortion, Appears to Leave Part of Baby Inside Mother’s Womb

Operation Rescue just received the 911 recording and Computer Aided Dispatch transcript from February 4, 2016, in Bellevue, Nebraska, that shows LeRoy Carhart (pictured above) indeed botched an abortion on a late-term patient, which caused serious bleeding that required emergency hospitalization.

The February 4th call reveals that a 33-year old woman suffered severe bleeding during an 18-week abortion. In Nebraska, abortions at 20 weeks or later are illegal.

In fact, the caller emphasized that the woman was “18 weeks currently pregnant.”

This is an indication that the baby was not fully aborted when emergency responders were summoned to Carhart’s Bellevue abortion business.

Such an incomplete abortion accompanied by uncontrolled bleeding would represent a life-threatening medical emergency for the patient. Her current status remains unknown.

Earlier this week, Operation Rescue reported that a 911 call related to a January 19, 2016, medical emergency at Carhart’s other abortion business, Germantown Reproductive Health Services in Germantown, Maryland, showed that another late-term patient suffered serious bleeding and was transported to an emergency room for care while Carhart packed his luggage in his car and left the scene.

Carhart, 74, holds no hospital privileges anywhere, and has had no such privileges since 1982.

Since March, 2012, Operation Rescue has documented eleven known medical emergencies at Carhart abortion facilities. In addition, Carhart has been involved in two patient deaths in 2005 and 2013. These incidents raise serious questions about Carhart’s competency.

“Carhart’s emergency plan is to call 911 and dump his problems on emergency room staff. Women deserve better than that. Carhart is an aging man that I believe is incompetent to continue practicing medicine,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “LeRoy Carhart has never been held accountable by regulators for injuring, maiming, or even killing women. This represents a regulatory failure that needs to change as of right now.”

According to a recent report by Michele Hendrickson, Carhart addressed a group of college students at an event hosted by Johns Hopkins University’s Medical Students for Choice on February 3, 2016 — just the day before he botched the abortion in Bellevue.

There, he told students, “I believe I’m doing God’s work.”

“Of course, Carhart isn’t doing God’s work because God holds each life as precious, but living in that delusion may allow him to sleep at night,” said Newman.

Operation Rescue is currently preparing complaints against Carhart in Nebraska and Maryland.
