It’s a rare event for a baby girl to have the same birthday as her mother. For a girl to have the same birthday as both her mother and grandmother goes past rare.
In fact, for Tammy Pierce, mother of Aimee Hernando, her newly born daughter Miracle Joy’s unlikely birth date on Jan. 18 was a “blessing from God,” according to ABC News. Tammy and Aimee also were born on that date.
“Three generations would just be really crazy, and it happened,” Hernando said of the experience.
Hernando experienced issues with infertility for nine years before giving birth to her 1-year-old son and later Miracle Joy, according to the report. They also have two older siblings adopted by Hernando, ages 11 and 8.
“We said if we ever had a girl, we would name her Miracle Joy,” she said.

Miracle Joy was due at the end of January, but she came sooner than expected.
Hernando recalled, “Then when I went into labor I just kept thinking ‘Oh my goodness! Is this really happening?”
Miracle Joy arrived on Jan. 18, the same day that her mother turned 33 and her grandmother turned 56, the report states.
Hernando explained another coincidence of her daughter’s birth: “My mom’s birth weight was 6 pounds 10 ounces, mine was 6 pounds 9 ounces, and Miracle’s was 6 pounds 8 ounces. We just thought that was so cool!
“She is a beautiful miracle. Definitely the best birthday present ever.”
