Lena Dunham: People Won’t Vote for Hillary Because There’s “So Much Hatred for Successful Women”

Abortion activist and “actress” Lena Dunham is stumping for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign again.

During a campaign stop Friday in New Hampshire, Dunham accused the media of attacking Clinton because she is a woman, the Weekly Standard reports.

The Democratic presidential front-runner is embroiled in scandal over sensitive government documents stored on her private email server and attacks on Americans in Benghazi. She also takes a radical stance on abortion that is out of touch with most Americans. During a September interview on CBS, Clinton said she would oppose a federal limit on abortion at any stage of pregnancy – an extremist position that most Americans oppose.

But Dunham blamed gender politics and “hatred” for Clinton’s troubles. Dunham claimed the negative media attention surrounding Clinton is “evidence of the fact that our country has so much hatred toward successful women and an inability to separate their accomplishments from that of powerful men.”

The young actress also denied suggestions that she supports Clinton simply because she is a woman. According to the report, Dunham said feminists do not “go walking towards the nearest vagina and vote for them.”

Dunham also caught the media’s attention when she accidentally called Clinton by her first name during her speech and then apologized.

“… and I feel that these women, were they to have the opportunity to listen to Hillary the way that I did – sorry, I called her by her first name – they would be moved as I was…” Dunham said.

Clinton also campaigned in New Hampshire on Sunday. She accepted an endorsement from the Planned Parenthood abortion business and promptly told a small contingent of abortion activists that she was ready to force Americans to pay for abortions with their tax dollars by attempting to overturn the Hyde Amendment.

The amendment has protected Americans from funding most abortions since the late 1970s. Upheld by the Supreme Court, the Hyde Amendment is now a target of abortion advocates who have moved from pro-choice to pro-abortion — forcing Americans not only to accept unlimited abortions before birth but to pay for them.

Clinton’s extreme position on abortion is clear. At a campaign event in August, she compared pro-lifers to terrorists. She also recently received the endorsements of NARAL Pro-Choice America, which supports abortions for any reason up until birth.

Dunham, a vocal supporter of pro-abortion politicians, also has made inflammatory remarks in the past. In a December interview, Dunham said she wants to punch ignorant pro-lifers in the face.

In 2012, the young actress also campaigned for pro-abortion President Barack Obama in an ad that compared voting for him to losing her virginity.
