Obama Tells Pope to “Put the Least of These at the Center of Our Concerns” as He Pushes Abortion

In his speech this morning welcoming pro-life pro-life Pope Francis to the White House, President Barack Obama made a few ironic comments. Obama told the leader of the Catholic Church that America loves “religious liberty” as he attempts to deny religious liberty to pro-life Christians.

But Obama also told Pope Francis that people should protect “the least of these” as he aggressively pushes abortion time and time again.

“You call on all of us, Catholic and non-Catholic, to put the least of these at the center of our concerns. You remind us that in the eyes of god, our measure as individuals and our measure as a society is not determined by wealth or power or station or celebrity but how well we hew to Scripture’s call to lift the poor and the marginalized,” Obama said in his remarks this morning. “To stand up for justice and against inequality and to ensure that every human being is able to live in dignity because we are all made in the image of God.”

“It means showing compassion and love for the marginalized and the outcast; and those who’ve suffered and those who’ve caused suffering and seek redemption. You remind us of the cost of war particularly on the powerless and defenseless,” Obama continued.

There are no more marginalized and defenseless people than the millions of unborn babies Obama whose lives has been snuffed out by abortion, something Obama celebrates.

In fact, Obama has threatened to veto a new pro-life bill the House of Representatives approved that would hold the Planned Parenthood abortion business criminally liable for harvesting body parts from aborted babies who are technically still alive.

Keep up with the latest pro-life news and information on Twitter.

The center for Medical Progress has released 10 videos catching and exposing Planned Parenthood officials selling aborted babies and their body parts. One of the most shocking videos caught the nation’s biggest abortion business harvesting the brain of an aborted baby who was still alive.

The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, sponsored by pro-life Congressman Trent Franks would make failure to provide standard medical care to children born alive during an abortion a federal crime.  It would also apply stronger penalties in cases where an overt act is taken to kill the abortion survivor.

But the Obama administration says President Barack Obama would veto the measure. The position statement explaining the opposition to the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act says the pro-life bill “would impose new legal requirements related to the provision of abortion services in certain circumstances, which would likely have a chilling effect, reducing access to care.”

Obama has also threatened to veto any bill that cuts funding to the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

In comments about funding the Planned Parenthood abortion business, Obama’s top spokesman falsely implied that Planned Parenthood had apologized for selling aborted babies and their body parts. White House spokesman Josh Earnest confirmed that Obama will veto any bill that de-funds Planned Parenthood after 10 shocking videos found that it has sold aborted babies and their body parts.

“We’ve been quite forthright about the president’s opposition to any effort to wholesale defund Planned Parenthood,” Earnest told reporters Wednesday.

Earnest called it “cynical” to use the videos as a reason to de-fund the abortion company, saying it has apologized for the tone of the videos — though Planned Parenthood steadfastly defended selling aborted babies and their body parts for research.
