A pro-life group in California has learned that a woman reportedly died after a botched abortion at an abortion clinic in San Diego.

“We were shocked to find out from a confidential source that a woman died while being transported by ambulance to the emergency room from FPA on Miramar Road about a month ago,” the pro-life group Helpers of God’s Precious Infants informed LifeNews.com this weekend.

The organization fields sidewalk counselors outside the Family Planning Associates abortion clinic to provide women with information about abortion alternatives.

“We do not yet have primary verification of this, but it came from a reliable source.  This likely happened early in the afternoon after all of the counselors and prayer warriors had left,” the group continued, adding that another botched abortion occurred earlier this month at the same FPA abortion clinic. “This was several weeks before the emergency transport from FPA last Saturday.  The woman who was transported to the emergency room last Saturday had to have a hysterectomy at the hospital.  This is the third incident this year that we know about where a woman had to be transported to the hospital from FPA.”

“FPA on Miramar Road was closed today.  They only do surgical abortions on Saturdays, and this was the first non-holiday Saturday they have been closed since October 19, 2013,” the group continued. “We’re not sure why it was closed today, but it is more than a coincidence that it is closed today after last week’s incident on the heels of a death only a month ago.”

On September 5th, pro-life counselors from Helpers of God’s Precious Infants saw ambulances pull in front of Family Planning Associates (FPA) in San Diego, one of the largest abortion chain centers in California. As LifeNews previously reported, FPA has recorded at least 16 abortion-related deaths and countless abortion complications. Edward Campbell Allred, a doctor who is credited with inventing the “assembly-line abortion,” founded the abortion chain in California.

The pro-life group told LifeNews the following about the incident at FPA in an email: “A fire truck and ambulance pulled up in front of Family Planning Associates and the emergency personnel brought a gurney up the elevator to transport a woman who had just had an abortion. Two police cars arrived shortly after.  An older woman who had apparently brought this younger woman earlier for the abortion was now screaming in anger. She left in her vehicle, following the ambulance to the hospital. This is the second woman this year who needed to be transported by ambulance to the emergency room from this abortion center.”

In the 1980’s, Allred explained that his FPA clinics are very much like an assembly line business. He said, “Very commonly, we hear patients say that they feel like they’re on an assembly line. We tell them they’re right. It is an assembly line…We’re trying to be as cost-effective as possible and speed is important…We try to use the physician for his technical skill and reduce the one-to-one relationship with the patient. We usually see the patient for the first time on the operation table and then not again. More contact is just not efficient.”

The abortionist also shared about his love for population control in The San Diego Union.

Allred said, “Population control is too important to be stopped by some right wing pro-life types. Take the new influx of Hispanic immigrants. Their lack of respect for democracy and social order is frightening. I hope I can do something to stem that tide; I’d set up a clinic in Mexico for free if I could … When a sullen black woman of 17 or 18 can decide to have a baby and get welfare and food stamps and become a burden to all of us, it’s time to stop. In parts of South Los Angeles, having babies for welfare is the only industry these people have.”

In 2014, Cheryl Sullenger from Operation Rescue reported that their organization has documented at least seven medical emergencies at FPA facilities since 2012. Additionally, Operation Rescue President Troy Newman explained that the abortion chain has covered up botched abortions by using California police to intimidate the public.

Newman said, “Family Planning Associates is a very large abortion chain that in the past has enjoyed political cover. It now looks like the police are being used to intimidate anyone who attempts to document medical emergencies at their Bakersfield facility.” Unfortunately, Family Planning Associates has 22 abortion facilities throughout Southern California.
