This past weekend, Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman and Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz didn’t waste the chance to fundraise off Planned Parenthood’s recent scandal and Republicans’ efforts to de-fund the abortion giant. The Daily Caller reports that she sent out a fundraising email for the DNC under her name over the Labor Day weekend.
The subject read, “This pisses me off,” and the message said that if Republicans “don’t get their way” they will shut down the federal government to de-fund Planned Parenthood. She said, “They’re just fine with shutting down the government — again!”
She continued, “Republicans in Congress are dead-set on rolling back the progress that Democrats like you and I have worked so hard to achieve,” Wasserman Schultz defends Planned Parenthood, the group recently exposed for the selling of organs from aborted babies, saying Republicans “want to completely defund Planned Parenthood, an organization that provides necessary health services to women across the country.”
Of course, Wasserman Schultz used Planned Parenthood’s rhetoric to convince her readers that the organization saves lives by providing cancer screenings.

She said, “I’m going to be frank: That pisses me off. As a woman, a mother, and a cancer survivor, I say that we can’t stand for this kind of irresponsible behavior — and it’s exactly what we’ll see more of if Republicans retain their majority in 2016.”
As LifeNews previously reported, Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms or breast biopsies or ultrasounds for cancer. They don’t help women catch the disease; instead they refer women to legitimate health centers that offer those services. The Federalist reports that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration lists 8,735 licensed mammography facilities in America on their website but Planned Parenthood operates none of them. At the end of the email, Wasserman Schultz asks for money to help elect more Democrats to office. She said, “If you’re with me, chip in $3 right now to help elect more Democrats.” In April, Wasserman Schultz made it clear that she supports no limits on abortion and acknowledged her support for late-term abortion.
Additionally, she told The Weekly Standard that Republicans are anti-woman. She said, “It’s just so hard for me to grasp how they [Republicans] can be as anti-woman as they are. I think that the pushback and the guttural reaction from women against the Republicans’ agenda out of the gate, the war on women that the Republicans have been waging since they took over the House, I think is not only going to restore but help us exceed the president’s margin of victory in the next election.”
Although Wasserman Schultz believes pro-life Republicans will help a Democrat win the presidency, most people do not support late-term abortion (especially women) and it is unlikely that Americans share her view of Planned Parenthood. In fact, it is not a stretch to say that many Americans, unlike Wasserman Schultz, are probably “pissed off” at Planned Parenthood and not at efforts to de-fund them.

In July, the first of nine videos were released by The Center for Medical Progress showing Planned Parenthood’s executives haggling over the price of aborted babies’ body parts, admitting to altering abortion procedures to procure salable organs and casually discussing ways their doctors can “crush” unborn babies to obtain fully intact parts.
Then, in one of the newest videos, the abortion company is caught harvesting the brain of an aborted baby who was still alive, which is in violation of the federal Born Alive Infant Protection Act. The legislation requires abortion facilities, hospitals and other places that do abortions to provide appropriate medical care for a baby born alive after a failed abortion or purposefully birthed to “let die.”
