A Catholic-owned construction company called Pizzano Contractors, Inc. plans to build a new Planned Parenthood facility located at 1225 Fourth Street NE in Washington D.C. Restore DC Catholicism reports that the abortion company is planning to reopen at a new location and the contractors are helping them prepare for opening day.
The new Planned Parenthood abortion facility will replace the one the abortion corporation closed earlier this year. Planned Parenthood has indicated that it plans to open a new facility in the Washington, D.C. area sometime in the future to replace the old 16th Street clinic, which has been the site of intensive pro-life activity over the years.
Pizzano Contractors, Inc, is headquartered in Alexandria, VA, and they said in a video ad that they are a “family business”. The owner is Robert Pizzano, Jr. and he is a Catholic who graduated from a Catholic High School. Additionally, he was a member of the Catholic school’s Board of Governors and was honored by them for founding a charity in memory of his late son who had developmental disabilities.
At one time, Pizzano Contractors, Inc. listed the Diocese of Arlington on their partial client list; however, after finding out about Pizzano’s connection with Planned Parenthood, the diocese asked to be removed. In August, Live Action News reported that a worker from the construction company cursed at a pro-lifer who was praying in front of the abortion facility.
Lauren Hand explained, “I was kneeling and praying when the guy turned on the hose making the construction dust turn into mud. I told him I would not leave and continued to pray. It didn’t matter what they did to me. At first I was by myself and felt a little discouraged because the guy was cussing at me… And then another prayer warrior showed up and immediately knelt in the mud with me.”
Pro-life writer Anita Crane called Robert T. Pizzano General Contractors to verify that they are building the new Planned Parenthood. She got a stunning reply and reports that it’s next to a children’s charter school. See more, including the staff’s direct contact info, in her story “Hall of Planned Parenthood shame: Robert T. Pizzano General Contractors.”

Previously, Catholic leaders have said building companies should have nothing to do with construction of abortion centers.
As LifeNews previously reported, in 2014, New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond wrote a letter saying that the Archdiocese would not cooperate with Planned Parenthood after finding out they were building a $4.2 million facility in the heart of New Orleans.
Aymond wrote: “We cannot be silent in view of the grave injustice presented by the abortions that will be performed at the proposed Planned Parenthood facility. The archdiocese is obliged to remind every person and organization involved in the acquisition, preparation and construction of this or any abortion facility that they are cooperating with the evil that will take place there. For this reason, the archdiocese, including its churches, schools, apartments for the elderly and nursing homes, will strive in its privately funded work not to enter into business relationships with any person or organization that participates in actions that are essential to making this abortion facility a reality.”
He concluded, “There is no justification, including economic hardship that will make a direct or indirect relationship with Planned Parenthood, or any abortion provider, acceptable. Additionally, affiliation or support of Planned Parenthood by Catholics is a matter of serious scandal.” After one Catholic company learned about Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, they withdrew their contract agreement with the abortion company.
