In a new television ad in New Hampshire, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie shares his pro-life views and elaborates on why he believes he will be a great pro-life president.

In the video, he says, “See I’m pro-life. And I believe that every life is precious. Not only for the baby in the womb, we need to be pro-life for the 16 year old drug addict who’s laying on the floor of the county jail. And so that’s why I so firmly believe that the way to really win the war on drugs is to treat the addict. For those whose lives we have a chance to save I want us to try and save those lives. Because I believe that every one of those lives is a precious gift from God and it’s not up to us to decide when that life ends. I’m Chris Christie and I approve this message.”

As LifeNews previously reported, in an interview with Fox News, Christie said Hillary Clinton is a disgrace for comparing pro-lifers to terrorist groups. Clinton said the following on the campaign trail in August: “I would like these Republican candidates to look the mom in the eye who caught her breast cancer early because she was able to get a screening for cancer, or the teenager who didn’t get pregnant because she had access to contraception, or anyone who’s ever been protected by an HIV test. Now, extreme views about women? We expect that from some of the terrorist groups.”

She added, “We expect that from people who don’t want to live in the modern world, but it’s a little hard to take coming from Republicans who want to be the president of the United States, yet they espouse out-of-date and out-of-touch policies. They are dead wrong for 21st-century America. We’re going forward. We’re not going back.”

In response to Clinton’s remarks, Christie said, “That’s a disgrace. She’s a disgrace. … I’m not going to be somebody who lets somebody stand up and call my party terrorists. She’s a disgrace for saying that, for comparing Republicans to terrorist groups — that’s awful. […] Can you imagine if we compared the Democratic Party to terrorist groups? Can you imagine the outrage in the mainstream media for that? Yet, she stood up and said that Republicans are like terrorist groups.”

He continued, “Well, here’s what I don’t think mainstream America’s for, I don’t think mainstream America is for an organization getting federal funding, who kills children in the womb, in a particular way, so that it maximizes the value of their body parts on the open market for sale for profit.”

“Now, if Mrs. Clinton thinks that’s what mainstream America likes, I’m happy to have the debate with her, but of course, she won’t even answer those questions, because she doesn’t even want to talk about what’s really going on at Planned Parenthood. She just wants to talk about these vague generalities about war on women, but I’m not going to be someone who’s going to stand up and allow her to call my party ‘terrorists,’ because we’re not,” Christie concluded.

In August, Christie said he supported defunding Planned Parenthood and indicated that he believes their funding should be sent to legitimate health care centers in the country, which is done in his state. He said, “We generously fund federally qualified health clinics throughout New Jersey, which provides excellent care for women and men in our state who need it. Everything from cancer screenings and mammograms for women to prostate cancer screenings for men to diabetes treatment and to everything in between that can lead folks to greater healthcare available to them and can lead to greater health results for each and every person who walks through the door.”
