Woman Defends Her Abortion So She Can Keep Having “Recreational Sex”

As crazy as it sounds, there are people defending Planned Parenthood left and right in the wake of six videos showing their top officials negotiating the sale of babies killed in abortions. In fact, high pro-file Democrats like Hillary Clinton have rushed to their defense even though the revelations on the footage are undeniable and absolutely disgusting.

In case anyone forgot, Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion business in America, accounting for about one-third of all U.S. abortions. According to their own annual report, in 2014, the abortion company killed 327,653 babies in abortions while taking in millions in taxpayer funds. They’ve also been sued numerous times in the past for performing botched abortions, covering up the sexual abuse of minors and stealing millions from the taxpayer funded Medicaid program. The plain truth is their hands have never been clean and the videos only confirm the lucrative and corrupt nature of their work.

Unfortunately, many of the people who are supporting Planned Parenthood now are politicians that have received money from them, people with extreme pro-abortion views and women who are post-abortive. For example, a woman named Alexis Rhiannon told Salon.com that she had an abortion at Planned Parenthood and is standing with them because they supported her during a difficult time in her life.

She wrote, “Three years ago, I had an abortion at Planned Parenthood. It was obtained legally, supported by those closest to me, and I have never regretted it for a second since, circumstances that unfortunately don’t apply to every woman who elects to terminate a pregnancy.”

Rhiannon’s story is, without a doubt, heartbreaking and not because her abortion was the result of rape or because her baby had a rare fetal abnormality. It’s heartbreaking because the abortion she had is like the majority of abortions that take place in our country.

Keep up with the latest pro-life news and information on Twitter.

Rhiannon said, “I didn’t have an abortion because I was raped, or because my life was in danger, or because the fetus was the product of incest. I had an abortion because I had recreational sex, got unintentionally pregnant, and wasn’t ready or willing to be a mother. This is something I haven’t written about before, but there comes a point when staying silent begins to look like shame — and I am not ashamed.”

As LifeNews previously reported, on average women give the following reasons for choosing abortion: having a baby would interfere with work, school or other responsibilities; they cannot afford a child; or they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner. The National Abortion Federation and the Guttmacher Institute reports that only 12% of women report physical problems with their health as the reason for having an abortion and only one percent (of aborting women) reported that they were the survivors of rape.

Abortion is always a tragedy, regardless of the circumstances that led to it; however, it’s important to acknowledge the truth in a time when so many are defending Planned Parenthood. For the most part, women have abortions because they simply do not want or believe they can have a baby. In saying that we shouldn’t minimize the real problems women encounter, but we should, at the very least, stop pretending that Planned Parenthood is saving countless lives by performing abortions. They’re not.

The truth is they are killing perfectly healthy babies for women that are not in life or death situations. Then, when they are done killing, Planned Parenthood sells their parts for profit.
