Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM) is upset that it can’t have a booth at the Springs Spree Festival, which is scheduled for June 13-14th at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs.

The abortion giant was notified that it was barred from participating since it went against the Festival’s rules concerning non-profits. According to The Gazette, the Springs Spree Board of Directors will revisit their decision to prohibit Planned Parenthood from having a booth and vote on it sometime this week.

Board member Karen Campbell said, “We get that every nonprofit does have a dog in the public-policy fight. We are going to review why do we have this rule and what’s the thought process behind it. We are actually re-evaluating it. That doesn’t mean we’re going to reverse it and it doesn’t mean we’re going to hold firm to it.”

Colorado Citizens for Life director Sarah Zagorksi tells LifeNews.com her group is happy about the initial decision to keep an abortion business out of the festival.

“Although Planned Parenthood argues that their facilties offer services besides abortion, in 2013 alone they performed 327,653 abortions and it took up 94% of their services to pregnant women,” she said. “Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains shouldn’t be surprised that a family friendly festival wouldn’t want them advertising their abortion business at their event.”

Zagorski continued: “Although they claim to offer many services to women other than abortion, from a quick overview of their work at the Capital, the “non-profit” is far more interested in advancing abortion in Colorado than anything else. This year alone the abortion giant lobbied against countless bills that would protect Colorado families, such as the Women’s Health Protection Act, an informed consent bill and most recently, the Unborn Victims of Violence bill, which would give women justice whose babies are injured or killed in a violent crimes. This sort of organization shouldn’t be represented at a festival that advertises as a “fun event for the entire family.'”
