In Pennsylvania, 22-year-old Kathleen McGlade is looking for her biological mother. She was placed for adoption through the Catholic Social Agency Diocese of Allentown and knows from her adoptive parents that she has a biological brother and sister.

McGlade said, “The mom gave no information to the agency. I have no idea where I came from. I always wanted to have a sibling and knowing there were two other that I didn’t know, that was really upsetting to me.” According to The Blaze, she said that the lack of information about her biological family has bothered her throughout her life. She told Lehigh Valley News, “I’ve always wanted to know why. Why she gave me up for no reason.”

Although McGlade feels very loved in her adoptive family, she’s decided to take the search for her biological family one step further by reaching out on social media. On Facebook she posted a picture of herself with a note the read, “Hi! My name is Kathleen McGlade and I’m trying to locate my birth mother. I was born at home in Easton PA on September 21, 1992 and brought to Easton Hospital in Easton PA. I was then put up for adoption through Catholic Social Agency Diocese of Allentown. Please share this and help me find her! Please and thank you!”

Thus far, the picture has resulted in over 6,000 shares on Facebook and a potential lead on one of her siblings. A woman in New York responded to her post and said she was looking for her sister. They have similar stories and their baby pictures look alike so they’ve decided to meet for a DNA Test.
