For the last three years, a Chinese student has been carrying his friend around school since he can’t walk due to muscular dystrophy. Xie Xu attends Daxu High School in Jiangsu Province with Zhang Chi, who has the disorder.

According to the Huffington Post, Zhang’s disease makes it very difficult for him to walk but Xie carries his friend to class at least 12 times a day, for 200 days per year.

Remarkably, because of Xie’s kindness, Zhang hasn’t missed one day of school and is at the top of his class. The deputy headmaster of Daxu High School, Guo Chunxi, said the following about the students: “The story of the two students is so inspiring and touching. They aren’t family, but Xie has been doing this for three years. He’s the most beautiful student.”
