Pro-life activists with Sidewalk Advocates for Life of Spokane shot video footage as an ambulance loaded a patient at the Indiana Health Center of Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Spokane, Washington, then sped away to a local hospital with lights flashing and sirens blaring.
The woman appeared to be completely covered head to toe with blankets or sheets. An IV bag could be seen hanging over the gurney. One clinic worker with an umbrella unsuccessfully attempted to block view of the gurney from the street.
Adding a “creep factor” to the incident, the video clearly showed a woman carrying what appeared to be a red plastic biohazard bag who rode with the ambulance to the hospital. Aborted baby remains are often placed in such bags, but there was no way to determine from the video exactly what was in the red bag.
Sadly, as the ambulance was parked near the front door for over 17 minutes, women continued to enter the abortion clinic, ignoring the possibility that they could be next.
The abortionist responsible is currently unknown, but Sidewalk Advocates for Life of Spokane told Operation Rescue that it was the first time he had been seen at that Planned Parenthood abortion facility.
The incident, which took place on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, was the second known medical emergency at this Planned Parenthood facility this year.
So far in 2015, Operation Rescue has documented 25 medical emergencies at abortion clinics across the country, including 11 at Planned Parenthood facilities in seven states.

It is important to note, however, pro-life witnesses are only able to document a very small fraction of all complications that take place at abortion facilities.
“Abortion just isn’t safe. Certainly it is fatal for the baby, but women also risk their lives at shoddy abortion clinics, as we have seen over and over,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “Abortion clinics generally only call an ambulance when a woman is suffering a life-threatening emergency, so every time we see one of these incidents, we know some woman’s life is on the line. In the interest of public safety alone, every abortion clinic in the nation should be shut down!”
