A pro-abortion man was arrested on the campus of Ohio State University as pro-life advocates were there showing students images of abortion victims to spark debate.

“I wanted to not see those images” said a 23 year old abortion advocate as he attempted to shut down the lawful expression of our first amendment rights to  pro-life speech at the Ohio State University yesterday.  The video clip shows the protester assaulting a Created Equal volunteer and then attempting to flee the scene when OSU police officers tried to question him.

“Most of the protesters were respectful and civil in their disagreement with our exhibit.  As is often the case in these situations this individual was not a student and seemed to be intent on only causing trouble,” Created Equal’s Mark Harrington said in an email to LifeNews.

“After assessing that he did not damage our equipment or cause any lasting physical injury to our volunteer, we decided not to press charges against him.  However, he refused to cooperate with police when they questioned him which led to his arrest for other charges,” Harrington said. “The OSU police were restrained and professional.”

Harrington said the incident was not typical of the day, which was full of debate and discussions regarding abortion.
