“I was forced to get an abortion at Planned Parenthood.”

Yesterday, our new Midwest Regional Coordinator, Reagan, was at the University of Missouri – St. Louis touring with Students for Life’s provocative Planned Parenthood Project and she met a young woman who came up and spoke these words to her.

After talking with Reagan for a while, she agreed to allow us to videotape her story.

You need to watch this.

Every time our team members tour with our Planned Parenthood Project on campus, we hear these heartbreaking stories. Stories from women and men who come up to tell us they regret their abortion and the tragic circumstances which lead them to it. But this is why we must reach her first.

I failed, our team failed, and our movement failed to help this young girl when she was in high school.

We could have told her she had another choice besides abortion and that we were there to support her; we could have sat down with her mother and explained the options really available to her daughter and that she didn’t have to kill her grandchild; we could have saved her baby and this young woman years of guilt and pain she is still enduring.

This young girl said she just didn’t know – didn’t know what to do, didn’t know the regret she would feel and didn’t know that Planned Parenthood’s business is all about abortion. We need to reach more people and we need to do it now to prevent more lifetimes of heartache and regret and save more babies from the fate of abortion.

Please keep this young woman in your prayers as she continues to stay in contact with Reagan and seeking healing. And pray for Reagan as this is just her 2nd week on the job, may God great her the wisdom to say the right things to those students she meets.
