The following was posted on my site in response to a comment that was made that 10-week-old babies do not look human and are not developed. The woman below had an abortion by pill at 10 weeks, and held her baby in her hand:
Your [sic]wrong. If you want to see that science for yourself, its easy , you don’t care right! So get pregnant, go to a abortion clinic around 9-10 weeks, get the abortion pill.
Next day insert the three pills in your cervix area, get some sleep, and wait for you to gush. Deliver in tub, so you can see this so called pile of tissue, that so called pile of tissue, has a nice round head, eyes, developing ears, hand, fingers arms, elbows, legs , feet, toes, mouth, I’ve held my 10 wk baby, have you?
A medical (by pill) abortion after nine weeks or so can result in the expelling of a baby with human parts, arms, legs, etc. These parts developed by about seven weeks after conception. Seeing a recognizable body of an aborted baby is one reason why abortions by pill can be so incredibly traumatic to women. It is also not recommended by the FDA that they be given beyond seven weeks, but many clinics do.
Former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic manager Abby Johnson talked about her own experience seeing the body of her dead baby after an RU 486 abortion:
Engaged and not prepared to become a mother Johnson had a surgical abortion and said she felt isolated and alone immediately after the abortion procedure.
“It was something that I shared that burden alone,” she said about not having any help or support following the abortion.
She explained she thought the abortion would be a one-off but, when she later found herself pregnant again, she decided to have a second abortion. This time, she opted for the dangerous abortion drug RU 486, which has killed at least 13 women worldwide and injured 1,100 women in the U.S. alone as of 2006, according to the FDA.
“It was one of the worst experiences of my life,” she said about having the abortion at home and seeing the dead body of her unborn child afterwards.
Complications from the abortion drug went on for eight weeks, she explained. Johnson said she felt like a failure but continued working at Planned Parenthood, where she had the notion she could help reduce abortions through promoting contraception.
“I went back to being a volunteer and I tried to justify’ the abortion, she said.
