Her Parents Threatened to Kick Her Out of the House Unless She Aborted, Then This Happened

Every month in America, there are approximately 2.2 million Internet searches for abortion and abortion-related terms. Online for Life uses online and offline marketing techniques and best practices to reach out to these abortion-determined women and men. We then connect them to a participating life-affirming pregnancy center where they receive mercy and encouragement in the face of an unplanned pregnancy.

By the time most women enter the doors of one of our clinics, they are alone, frightened, and desperate for help.

Such was the case for “Noreen.” Her boyfriend had abandoned her, and her parents had threatened to kick her out of the house if she continued her pregnancy. Noreen believed her situation was beyond hope. “Everything in my head told me to have an abortion…but everything in my heart told me not to,” she recalls, speaking of the first day she visited one of Online for Life’s participating life-affirming pregnancy centers.

The highly trained staff at the center provided individualized care to help Noreen make a fully informed decision regarding her pregnancy. But it wasn’t until she received her free ultrasound that Noreen’s heart began to soften. As she stared at the monitor and watched her baby squirm and kick, Noreen began to fall in love. “Now both my head and my heart tell me to keep the baby!” she told the registered nurse.

Noreen left the center that day having chosen LIFE, but that’s not where her story ends.

The pregnancy center staff walked alongside Noreen throughout her entire pregnancy, providing parenting and financial planning classes, as well as other forms of encouragement. The culmination of their practical mercies came about, however, when they combined their resources and hosted a baby shower for Noreen.

Partnering with a local church, the pregnancy center staff threw the shower of Noreen’s dreams, complete with food, games, and presents. One attendee described the special day this way: “The afternoon of her shower was full of joy not only because of all the beautiful baby gifts she received, but because of the people who didn’t even know her that gathered to celebrate the life of her unborn child.”

Thanks to the compassionate grace and care provided by the life-affirming pregnancy center and a local church, Noreen was equipped — both materially and emotionally — to welcome her baby into the world.

“The women [at the center] have gone above and beyond what I could have imagined. I know that no matter what, they are there for me.”

Every day in cities across America, individuals who are committed to protecting the unborn give of their time, talents, and resources to help women and men facing crisis pregnancies choose Life for their children, and to also help them be equipped for the parenting journey ahead.
