The Egyptian table tennis player, Ibrahim Hamato, was 10 years old when he lost both of his arms in a horrific accident. He learned to play tennis by holding the paddle in his mouth and now Hamato can compete with some of the world’s best competitors.

In fact, Adham Sharara, the President of the International Table Tennis Federation, invited Hamato to play at the World Team Table Tennis Championships in Tokyo, Japan. Jun Mizutani, a table tennis player who’s ranked ninth in the world, commented on Hamato’s skills. He said, “He plays really good. I can’t believe he plays with his mouth.”

Hamato believes his achievements in life are divided into two parts. He said, “The best thing in my life is my wife, who is everything to me. The second part is table tennis, where I find my biggest success being able to enjoy every point I win. I hope this shows people that nothing is impossible as long as you work hard.”
