In an amazing story from Philadelphia, a pair of police officers helped deliver a Christmas baby on a train.
Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority Sgt. Daniel Caban and Officer Darrell James rushed into downtown subway train on Christmas and helped make a special delivery at 6 p.m. They coached them mother through the delivery, unwrapped the umbilical cord from the baby’s neck and placed the boy in her arms. Then the baby’s father wrapped the baby in his coat to keep him warm.
“Everything just happened so quick, but it was amazing,” James told WCAU-TV.
Mother and child were taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, where they were reported in good condition.
