Patrick Otema is a 15-year-old Ugandan boy who is profoundly deaf and withdrawn from society. 
There were no schools for the deaf near his rural village. Then Raymond Okkele, a young man who lost his hearing as a child, returned to his boyhood home and began teaching sign language.
