A former Texas lawyer, Stacy Zoern, has invented a low-speed vehicle that will allow wheelchair users to get round town and have more independence.

wheelchaircarAccording to The New York Times, Zoern has lived her entire life in a wheelchair and after an accident in her wheelchair-accessible-van she decided to research better transportation options.

After she invented the car Zoern said, “This vehicle will change my life. This is exactly what I want.” She started the Kenguru car company, which sell’s electric cars that wheelchair users can easily wheel into. However, the car is not meant for highway use but it does feature a motorcycle-style handle bar and can drive 45 to 60 miles on a single charge.
